The cases and blogs we talk and write about most often are those that involve difficult, unreasonable and sometimes abusive clients. But if we are completely honest, that probably only makes up a small percentage of our business…maybe even as low as five percent. The other 95% of the time we are working with delightful people and for me, that’s the best part of being a real estate agent.

The People We Meet
The people we meet come from all walks of life and all parts of the world. Each of them has such a unique and fascinating story to tell. I love hearing about jobs that I never even thought about. I met a person who had the job of decontaminating anything the United States sent into space. It made complete since when it was explained to me, but I had never thought of it. Or the people who were in the Peace Corp. Truly the nicest people I’ve ever worked with.New Friends
For the most part, the relationship we have is intense for about 60 days or so. Helping them find the perfect home that meets their needs and budget. Then just as quickly as they entered our lives they are out of our lives. But there are times when you have bonded and a friendship develops. I don’t know too many other professions were this occurs or is allowed to occur, but with real estate I look at it as one of the perks.Take a Minute
We have the honor of helping people achieve part of the American Dream. But sometimes we get so wrapped up in the five percent that make our stomach turn that we forget that most of the people we work are a pleasure to work with and appreciate all that we do for them. I think we have one of the best jobs on the planet. I encourage you to stop just for a minute to think about those clients that added to the richness of your life and made you think, “I’m so glad I get to do what I do”. Be prosperous!Enjoy less stress by having smoother transactions by implementing these simple strategies today!
